The Raja Saab New Poster Out
Recently, the makers announced that the first song from the film will be out on November 23, 2025. Titled Rebel Star, the song is set to be a celebration of everything that made Prabhas the Rebel Star: his larger-than-life aura, his effortless charisma, and his pan-India presence that transcends borders and languages. Prabhas also shared the poster on his Instagram handle on Friday and wrote, “#TheRajaSaab musical journey begins with #RebelSaab song on Nov 23rd.” In the poster, the Telugu star is seen flaunting his energetic dance movies in a colourful shirt paired with black jeans.
About the film
The Raja Saab is Prabhas’ second film after the monumental success of ‘Kalki: 2898 AD’, and will see him stepping away from his larger-than-life, intense roles, embracing a mischievous, spectral persona that will surely stun audiences. His vintage avatar is reminiscent of the Prabhas fans adored in his earlier days.
The cast includes Prabhas in dual roles, Malavika Mohanan (making her Telugu debut), Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, and Nayanthara in a special song. Several actresses, including Raashii Khanna and Sreeleela, were considered before finalising Malavika, Nidhhi, and Riddhi as the three lead actresses.
The Raja Saab is directed by the renowned Maruthi, who is considered a pioneer in the horror-comedy genre in Telugu cinema. The film is produced by Viswa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner. With music by Thaman S, the film will release across five languages in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
The Raja Saab will hit theatres on January 9, 2026.
Prabhas Starrer The Raja Saab Not Postponed
Recently, the makers officially debunked the postponed rumours. A fan shared the official statement, which mentioned that there is no delay in the release. People Media Factory issued an official note confirming that the film remains on track for a grand theatrical release on January 9, 2026. In addition, the team stated that VFX and other post-production works are progressing at a brisk pace.
The Raja Saab’s trailer
The trailer begins with Prabhas sitting in a hypnotist’s office, asked to focus as the classic Bappi Lahiri and Usha Uthup song Koi Yahan Nache Nache plays in the background. He appears shocked by the visions that unfold, showing eerie creatures and a haunted mansion. Sanjay Dutt’s character is introduced by Boman Irani as an “exorcist, psychiatrist, and hypnotist.” Prabhas prepares to confront Dutt’s character, even referencing Star Wars humorously. The trailer concludes with Prabhas’ older avatar, hinting at his role as the evil grandfather, while Zareena Wahab plays his grandmother.
