Soon after Swatantra Bhardwaj was released on three-week interim bail, he was seen in a video circulating on social media, warning people over an alleged confrontation involving a vehicle outside a police station.
In the video, Bhardwaj is heard saying, “To anyone who surrounds their vehicle, we are not going to do anything to you. You are neither worth my time nor on my level.”
He then refers to Chandrashekhar Azad, saying, “Go and pass this message on to your father, Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan.”
Bhardwaj goes on to speak about an alleged attack and says, “To avenge the attack on them, there is a Brahmin lion. His name is Swatantra Bhardwaj. Come and confront him.”
The video surfaced shortly after the Patiala House Court granted Bhardwaj interim
bail in connection with a case arising from an alleged assault during a protest at Jantar Mantar.
What Is Heard In The Video?
In the purported recording, Bhardwaj appears to address people whom he accuses of surrounding a vehicle. He warns them that they are not on his level before referring to Chandrashekhar Azad.
He then describes himself as the person who would take revenge for the alleged attack and challenges those involved to confront him. News18 cannot independently verify the authenticity of the video.

The recording has been circulating on social media. Its exact date and location are not clear from the video.
What Did The Court Order Say?
The Patiala House Court, while granting Bhardwaj three weeks of interim bail on September 15, imposed several restrictions on his public communication.
Additional Sessions Judge Saurabh Pratap Singh Laler directed him not to make, publish, upload, post or share any statement, comment, video, podcast, interview, reel or post concerning the case, his defence, or the complainant and his family on social media, electronic or print media, or any other public platform.
The court also barred him from discussing the matter with the media. He was directed not to directly or indirectly contact the complainant, his minor daughter, family members or prosecution witnesses, including through telephone or electronic communication.
Bhardwaj was further restrained from threatening, inducing or influencing them.
Court To Assess His Conduct During Interim Bail
The court said Bhardwaj’s conduct during the three week interim bail period would be considered when his regular bail plea is taken up. The matter is listed for October 6.
The investigating officer has also been directed to submit a report on his conduct during the interim period, including any alleged violation of the bail conditions.
The court further directed Bhardwaj not to tamper with evidence and not to leave the country without permission. He was required to furnish a personal bond of ₹50,000 along with one surety of the same amount.
Video Emerges Amid Social Media Restrictions
The emergence of the video has drawn attention because it comes shortly after the court specifically restricted Bhardwaj from making or sharing public statements about the case and related parties.
If the video was recorded after his release, its contents could be examined in light of the conditions imposed by the court. Any alleged violation, however, would have to be determined through the legal process.
