New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell entered his name in the history books on Sunday, January 18, by becoming the first batter in the world to register five 50-plus scores in a row in ODIs played against the Indian team in India.
The 34-year-old right-handed batter from Hamilton, who sits at the No. 2 position in the ICC ODI batter’s rankings, scored his fifth 50+ score in a row against India on Sunday in Indore.After walking out to bat at No. 4 for the Black Caps in the third ODI of the ongoing three-match series at Holkar Stadium, Mitchell completed his 50 by scoring a four on the last ball of the 21st over of New Zealand’s innings bowled by Kuldeep Yadav.
He needed 56 balls to reach the 50-run mark.

Mitchell has registered scores of 130, 134, 84 and 131*.
