Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday shared his second Instagram reel in 24 hours, thanking people for the overwhelming response to his earlier social media post on the NEET paper leak and the government’s proposed crackdown on examination fraud.
In the short video, PM Modi expressed gratitude to people for their support, feedback and suggestions after his selfie-style video on Thursday night went viral across social media.
“Thank you, friends. Last night, I had the opportunity to connect with you. Thank you for the way you responded to the video I posted and for your positive suggestions. Thanks to everybody. I hope your love and support continue and that our bond grows even stronger and more active. Thank you. Thank you, friends.”
The message comes a day after PM Modi released a video addressing concerns over the NEET paper leak, assuring students that the government would take stricter action against those involved in examination fraud. In the video, he had described the paper leak as a matter of deep concern for lakhs of students and their families and announced that tougher measures would be taken through the Union Cabinet.
The message came on the same day PM Modi’s first Instagram video on the NEET paper leak crossed 300 million views. The video, titled “More strict actions against paper leaks to come in tomorrow’s Cabinet!”, also helped the Prime Minister gain one million followers on Instagram in less than 24 hours.
The development also coincided with a key Cabinet meeting where Prime Minister Modi is learnt to have asked Union ministers to strengthen the government’s presence on social media and increase public outreach through platforms. The meeting came as his own NEET paper leak video crossed 300 million views and helped him gain nearly one million Instagram followers in less than a day.
