(UP), Sep 12 (PTI) Two motorcycle riders died after being hit by a truck on the national highway near Balhi village here, police said on Saturday.
Kotwali Police Station SHO Jitendra Pratap identified the two as Jitu and Tinku, aged 22 and 20.
He said Jeetu was riding the bike with Tinku riding pillion, and they were headed towards Mandhana in Kanpur when a truck rammed into them from behind around 9 pm on Friday.
The truck’s front wheel ran over the motorcycle.
Both died on the spot.
A hunt is on for the driver who abandoned the vehicle and fled, the SHO said. PTI COR NAV VN VN
