Born and raised in Mumbai, the comedian hails from a modest Maharashtrian family. His family originally belonged to Ratnagiri. Pranit studied at KJ Somaiya College

of Science and Commerce. He completed his Bachelor of Management Studies from there. He then studied at the Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research for an MBA in marketing. He developed an interest in comedy while studying and later pursued it full time.

From 2019 to 2023, Pranit worked as a radio jockey at Mirchi FM. He hosted several live events, such as the Filmfare OTT Awards.
