New Zealand Vs West Indies (New Zealand men’s cricket team vs West Indies men’s cricket team) 3rd Test, Day 4 LIVE: Hello and welcome to the final day of this enthralling series between New Zealand and the West Indies. It’s a testament to their spirit and fight that we have a climax in our hands where two results — a drawn series or a win for the Kiwis — are still open.
On Day 4, New Zealand tightened its grip on the Test before the Windies began a daunting chase.
Resuming at 381-6, the West Indies were bowled out for 420, trailing by 155, despite Kavem Hodge’s unbeaten 123. Jacob Duffy took four wickets. New Zealand then declared their second innings at 302-2, setting a target of 462.
Devon Conway scored 100 to go with his first-innings 227, while
Tom Latham hit another century. Late runs from Kane Williamson and Rachin Ravindra pushed the total past 300. At stumps, the West Indies were 43-0, still needing 419 to win.
In most other series, this would be an impossible target but West Indies have showed their batting grit all througout this rubber, including with a draw from a similar situation in the first match. Can they pull off something special?
