Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has admitted that Abhishek Sharma is ‘certainly’ one of his favourite batters currently, as the latter continued his onslaught with the bat during Sunrisers Hyderabad’s match against the Delhi Capitals on Tuesday.
Abhishek
needed just 59 runs in this innings to join an elite list and he became one of the batters to score 2000-plus runs for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.Abhishek went on to score a 47-ball 100, to help his franchise post a big score.
“Abhishek is certainly one of my favourites 🕺🏻,” Pietersen tweeted on Tuesday evening, minutes after which the star batter brought up his century.

Abhishek brought up his century with a six, which was his 350th maximum in the Indian Premier League. He also joined the likes of Quinton de Kock and Virat Kohli in the list of most T20 hundreds, which is led by Chris Gayle (22).
