Kim Soo Hyun To Appear In Court For THIS Reason Months After Kim Sae Ron Dating Scandal

Months after South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun made headlines in connection to the late actress Kim Sae Ron dating scandal, he is now all set to appear in a South Korean court. Soo Kyun will appear before

the 22nd Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court on November 21 in connection to a 500 million won lawsuit filed by cosmetics brand VT Cosmetics seven months ago.

As reported by Korean media, the hearing will address a damages claim of around 500 million won filed against Kim Soo Hyun and his agency. The issue between the cosmetic brand and the actor started earlier this year when the latter faced backlash for allegedly dating the late actress Kim Sae Ron when she was just a minor. During this time, VT Cosmetics filed a case against Kim Soo Hyun, who was otherwise a model for their brand. They also terminated the contract with the actor and said, they found “significant reasons making it difficult to fulfill the advertising model contract.”

“After reviewing the agency’s position, we judged that there were serious reasons preventing the fulfilment of the advertising contract, and we have officially initiated the termination process through our legal representatives. This decision reflects our commitment to uphold the values of the brand and the trust of our consumers,” the brand said in a statement.

What Is Kim Soo Hyun And Kim Sae Ron Dating Scandal?

Kim Soo Hyun has been accused of dating the late actress Kim Sae Ron when she was just a minor. While the matter is still in court, the latter’s family made several allegations against Soo Hyun. However, Kim Soo Hyun previously held a press conference and addressed allegations. He said, “I’ll address the biggest concern—I did not date the deceased when she was a minor. We dated five years ago for about a year, long before Queen of Tears aired.”

The actor also explained why he denied dating Sae Ron earlier, saying, “As the lead actor of Queen of Tears, I couldn’t confirm the relationship publicly because of its potential impact on the cast and crew.” Kim also denied accusations that his agency pressured Sae Ron over her debts, saying, “Aside from the fact that we were both actors, we were simply an ordinary couple who broke up over time.”

Amid the ongoing controversy, Kim Soo Hyun’s career also went for a toss. His projects have been halted and brand deals have also been cancelled.
