Sudeepa added that mounting a film like Toxic required conviction and courage. “It takes a different mindset, conviction, and most importantly, the guts to attempt something like this,” he said.

According to Sudeepa, those elements could lead to “great debate, discussion, and learning.” He concluded his message by backing Yash’s decision to experiment rather than stick to convention.
“Kudos to you for daring to experiment and step away from the conventional. Bestest wishes, my friend,” Sudeepa wrote.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic arrived amid considerable expectations, particularly as it marked Yash’s major theatrical outing following his previous commercial success.

Sudeepa’s post is among the notable public reactions from the film fraternity following the movie’s theatrical release.
Toxic Crosses Rs 185 Crore Worldwide In Two Days
The divided reception has not stopped Toxic from recording strong numbers during its opening days.
According to Sacnilk, the Yash-starrer collected Rs 138.75 crore net in India during its first two days. Its worldwide gross collection stood at Rs 185.60 crore over the same period.
The film’s weekend performance will now be closely watched, particularly after its strong initial numbers. Friday’s hold followed by collections on Saturday and Sunday will determine how well it sustains its opening momentum.
Toxic has reportedly been mounted on a budget of around Rs 500 crore.
Headlined by Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film entered theatres on Wednesday. Amid the contrasting reactions surrounding it, Sudeepa has firmly backed the team’s decision to take the unconventional route, praising Yash specifically for having the “guts” to experiment.
