Mohanlal, Mammootty and Nayanthara starrer Patriot teaser has finally been released today. Fans are super excited as two of the biggest legends of Indian cinema — Mohanlal and Mammootty — have come together

once again. The teaser has set social media buzzing with excitement.

Mammooty took to his X handle and wrote, “#PATRIOT official teaser.” The teaser is packed with intriguing moments and action-packed sequences. Mohanlal, Mammooty, Nayanthara coming together for special operation. The film has been shot in various locations, including the UAE, Sri Lanka, and parts of India. The remaining scenes will mainly be filmed in Kerala and the UK.

Mammootty Announces Return After 8-Month Break

The Malayalam superstar, who took an 8-month break due to health concerns, has now announced his return to work through a post on social media. Mammootty took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that he is back to doing what he loves the most. He also thanked all those who checked in on him during his absence. He shared a picture of himself leaning against his Toyota Land Cruiser 300, and wrote, “Back to doing what I love most in life after a short break.Words aren’t enough to Thank everyone who checked on me during my absence. The camera is calling…,” along with a smiling emoji. Fans were delighted, and sent ‘Welcome back’ messages to the superstar.

Anto Joseph On Mammootty’s Return

Meanwhile, Patriot producer Anto Joseph also announced Mammootty’s return to work through a post on Instagram. “Beloved Mammukka is returning… From October 1st, he will resume acting in the film directed by Mahesh Narayanan. That unexpected break was overcome with the strength of the prayers and fortitude of people all over the world,” he wrote.

Mahesh Narayanan Is Thrilled About Mammootty’s Return

Filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan, who is directing Patriot, confirmed the news in an interview with OnManorama. “We’re all thrilled to have Mammookka back on set,” he said, adding that the team is eager to continue filming with the veteran star.

Mahesh further explained that Mammootty’s absence did not disrupt the production schedule. The crew used the period to shoot sequences involving other cast members. “I would visit his house to show him edits. He was completely part of the process, even if he wasn’t on location,” the director revealed.
