First Ever To Do It! Lionel Messi Scripts History With Second MLS MVP Honour

Argentine World Cup winner and eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi was named the MLS’ Most Valuable Player for a second year running on Tuesday after he led the David Beckham-owned Inter Miami to the title.

Messi, who was also named the MVP in the year 2024, led the Herons to their third title in the nascent history of the Miami-based club.
