The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has issued an official alert warning job seekers about a fake notice being circulated on social media. According to the institute, misleading information
is being spread by certain individuals and organisations falsely claiming to be “affiliated with IBPS” or “associated with IBPS and its processes.”
However, IBPS has clarified that these claims are completely false and such entities are misleading candidates preparing for banking recruitment exams.
IBPS emphasised that it does not authorise or recognise any external person, agent, or consultancy to be part of its recruitment or selection operations. All official recruitment activities are conducted exclusively through the institute’s website at ibps.in.
“The public in general and jobseekers/candidates in particular are cautioned that IBPS neither authorizes nor endorses any individuals/entities with regard to its operations or functions,” the official notice reads.

The institute further stated that its name, logo, and other identifiers are officially registered as proprietary trademarks with the competent authority. Any unauthorised use or misuse of these trademarks will lead to legal action against those involved. IBPS has advised individuals or organisations misusing its name or logo to immediately stop such activities.
Additionally, the notice mentioned that IBPS will not be responsible for any loss, damage, or misinformation caused by engaging with fake or unauthorised sources. Candidates have been urged to rely only on official notifications and updates available on the IBPS website to ensure they receive accurate and verified information.
