Mathura (UP), Jul 2 (PTI) A 14-year-old girl died after allegedly falling from the first floor of her house while feeding monkeys in Mathura’s Vrindavan area, police said on Thursday.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening in Sant Nagar Colony under the Vrindavan police station limits. Circle Officer (Sadar) Varun Mishra said the girl, Poorva, lost her balance while feeding monkeys from the first floor of her house and fell, sustaining serious injuries.
Mirshra said she was rushed to a hospital, where she died during treatment.
Police said the body was sent for a post-mortem examination, and further legal proceedings were underway. According to neighbours, only Poorva’s younger brother was present at home when the incident occurred. They
said her parents, Anil Pandey and his wife, were away at work.
The couple, who earn their livelihood as street food vendors, live on the first floor of the building, they said. PTI COR CDN ASD ASD
