'I Love Akanksha': Gaurav Khanna Seemingly Dismisses Divorce Claims

Gaurav Khanna has seemingly dismissed claims that he is getting divorced from his wife, Akanksha Chamola. Recently, the Bigg Boss 19 winner joined Laughter Chefs to shoot for a special episode, following which he spoke to Times Now and clarified that he ‘loves’ Akanksha. While Gaurav did not directly address Chamola’s claims that they are separated, he indirectly dismissed it by saying, “I support Akanksha and main usko har waqt support karunga. I love her.”

Prior to this, Gaurav also spoke to the paparazzi outside the sets when he said, “Bas yaar, wahi yaar jo pehle tha wahi haal hai abhi bhi. Pyaar abhi bhi utna hai, support abhi bhi utna hai… Main toh humesha support karunga Akanksha ko, meri biwi hai yaar. Pyaar kiya toh piche kyu hatu.”

The Bigg Boss 19 winner further added, “All the very best to Akanksha for life. Main humesha uske sath khada hu aur usko support kar raha hu. Vo acha khele aur jeet ke aaye.”

What Did Akanksha Chamola Claim?

In a recent episode of Lock Upp, Akanksha stated that she and Gaurav have been living separately for a year. She further claimed that the two are getting a divorce. Later, in another episode, Akanksha was speaking to her co-participants, Shreya Kalra and Sufi Motiwala when she revealed the reason behind her divorce.

“When we were married, I never had a maternal instinct. But I was open to discovering it, and it was never shut down. Gradually, however, I realised that I am not meant for it, and he was okay with that. But I guess, in time, that shifted. Now he wants to have kids and I can’t give him that,” she said.

Gaurav And Akanksha’s Love Story

The love story of Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha Chamola is nothing short of a fairytale. The two first crossed paths during an audition. While it was just another day for Akanksha, Gaurav felt an instant connection. To strike up a conversation, he pretended to be inexperienced in the industry and asked her for tips on bagging roles.

Adding a playful twist, Gaurav even introduced himself as Rakesh, a name that Akanksha found to be rather old-fashioned. Their interaction didn’t end there. When Akanksha had to leave for another audition, Gaurav offered her a ride. After dropping her off, he casually suggested that she Google his real name. That moment sparked a connection that eventually blossomed into love.

After dating for a while, the couple tied the knot on November 24, 2016, in Gaurav’s hometown, Kanpur.
