You travel thousands of kilometres, land in Thailand, soak in the beaches of Krabi, and suddenly, Jethala is on TV. Yes, you read that right. That’s exactly what’s making the Internet laugh, argue and nod
in agreement. An Indian tourist recently posted a clip from the streets of Krabi, Thailand, casually vlogging when he stumbled upon an Indian restaurant named Shree Vrindavan. What caught his attention wasn’t just the name but what was playing inside.
In the video, he says, “Guys, I am roaming in the streets of Krabi, Thailand. And I found a restaurant here, which is called Shree Vrindavan. And inside there… Do you know what is going on inside? Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. This is called the power of India.”

And yes, right there inside the restaurant, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was playing on the television, and it was pure Gokuldham Society energy, but the international edition.
The visual doesn’t stop there. A quick glance at the menu board reveals very familiar comfort items—tea, lassi and other desi staples, making the place feel less like a foreign restaurant and more like a neighbourhood dhaba.
A Quick Reality Check
Naturally, the comments section turned into a battlefield of humour, pride and brutal honesty. One user wrote, “Power…. Bhai seriously??? Yeh simple marketing trick hai, Indians ka problem hai ki woh foreign country main bhi indian food khojte hai , toh is tarah se woh indian crowd ko pull Kr rhe hai or khus Kr rhe hai.”
TMKOC Fans In Comments
Another joked, “Iske bina khana gale se nahi jata, TMKOC OG.” And then came the comment that united fans instantly: “TMKOC lovers… assemble!!!”
Some viewers even recognised the episode and commented, “Uss episode mai society mai pani chala gaya hai.” But the most brutally relatable take was when someone stepped in with a reality check. They wrote, “Hum indian bde ajeeb h, indian me reh ke Thailand khate ho, or Thailand jke indian khana khojte ho.”
Love it or laugh at it, the video highlights that Indian food, Indian shows and Indian comfort follow us everywhere we go. And judging by the video and the reactions that came in, it seems that Gokuldham Society has officially gone global.
