Akshay Kumar Not Part Of Venkatesh Daggubati’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam Hindi Remake?

Akshay Kumar grabbed attention when reports of him being part of Sankranthiki Vasthunam Hindi remake went viral. However, it is now reported that the actor is not to be a part of the remake. The news has surprised many fans who were eager to see Akshay team up with the makers of this much-anticipated family entertainer. Pinkvilla has confirmed in its report that the news is not true.

Pinkvilla has quoted sources saying, “Akshay Kumar is not remaking Sankranthiki Vasthunam. Initially, there were rumors that the actor might collaborate with producer Dil Raju to remake the film in Hindi, with Anees Bazmee directing. However, this is not true. The actor had watched the Venkatesh Daggubati starrer some time ago, purely as a cinema lover, and has no intention

of remaking it. That said, Akshay and Anees Bazmee are indeed in talks for a potential collaboration on a different project.”

Times Now has quoted OTTPlay source saying that Akshay Kumar is excited for the Hindi remake of Sankranthiki Vasthunam. A source told the portal that he loved the Telugu film and decided to remake it after watching it. Dil Raju, who backed the movie, will also produce the Hindi remake. The female lead is not yet finalised as the casting process is still underway. Reportedly, it was supposed to go on floors earlier but got delayed due to Akshay’s prior commitments.
