The couple had announced their first pregnancy on February 29, 2024, with a post featuring baby clothes, shoes, rattles and balloons, along with “September 2024” written on it. However, Deepika had spoken about her desire to become a mother much earlier. In a 2017 interview with Rajeev Masand, she said, “The one thing I’ve got to do before I die is definitely have lots of babies,” and spoke about wanting to have “Three little kids, scuttling about.”

On the work front, Deepika Padukone has quite a few projects lined up, including Shah Rukh Khan-starrer King and Atlee’s Raaka, in which she will share screen space with Allu Arjun. The couple’s most recent film together was Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, released in 2024.
