Indigo Flight status News Today Live Updates: IndiGo’s nationwide operational crisis and wave of flight cancellations triggered chaos and panic across the country. Both domestic and international flights
remain affected. Reportedly, over 2,000 flights were cancelled in the period of six days. Lakhs of passengers were badly affected, and several are still waiting for refunds and baggage.
As of now, IndiGo has processed Rs 610 crore in refunds and delivered around 3,000 pieces of delayed baggage to the respective passengers.
On Sunday, the airline operated around 1,650 of its scheduled 2,300 domestic and international flights, while 650 remained cancelled.
IndiGo had announced automatic refunds for all cancelled bookings and a full waiver on cancellation or rescheduling charges for travel between December 5 and 15.
Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has granted IndiGo’s Accountable Manager and Chief Executive Officer a one-time 24-hour extension to submit their response to the Show Cause Notice issued on December 6 over large-scale operational disruptions and observed non-compliances.
According to the official statement, the two IndiGo functionaries sought more time in a request dated December 7, citing operational constraints.
