Some of the best Indian and international drivers will light up the streets of Navi Mumbai this December as the Formula Night Street Race headlines the Indian Racing Festival Finale.
Mumbai’s First FIA-Grade Street Circuit
The event will mark the debut of Mumbai’s first-ever FIA-certified street racing circuit, a 3.753 km layout featuring 14 challenging turns. The circuit begins at the iconic Palm Beach Road, weaving past wide boulevards and the scenic backdrop of Nerul Lake.
On Saturday, Racing Promotions Pvt. Ltd. (RPPL), the festival organisers, formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
A Thrilling Double-Header Weekend
Fans can look forward to an electrifying nighttime spectacle featuring a double-header: the Indian Racing League (IRL) and the FIA-certified Formula 4 Indian Championship (F4IC). The night race format, a rarity in India, is expected to draw large crowds and global attention.
Chief Minister Fadnavis welcomed the development, highlighting its broader impact: “The Mumbai Street Race marks a historic milestone in Maharashtra’s motorsport journey, showcasing our capability to host world-class events that drive tourism and generate jobs.”
The Indian Racing Festival has already staged successful street racing weekends in Hyderabad and Chennai in previous seasons.
The 2025 season began with races in Coimbatore and Chennai, with upcoming rounds scheduled in Coimbatore again and the Goa Street Circuit before the grand finale in Navi Mumbai.
