Delhi, Jun 30 (PTI) Copper futures rose nearly 1 per cent on Tuesday, tracking gains in overseas markets amid improved sentiment for industrial metals.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for July delivery appreciated by Rs 10.30, or 0.82 per cent, to Rs 1,270 per kg in a business turnover of 13,988 lots.
Traders said the domestic market took cues from firm trends in global benchmark exchanges.
In the international markets, copper futures on the London Metal Exchange (LME) rose by USD 130.27, or 1 per cent, to USD 13,439.15 per tonne.
Meanwhile, Comex copper futures for September delivery advanced nearly 2 per cent to USD 6.27 per pound in New York. PTI HG HG BAL BAL
