Jun 10 (PTI) Two youths went missing in the waters of Bodalkasa Dam in Gondia district of Maharashtra on Wednesday after their boat encountered rough weather, police said.
The incident occurred when a group of nine friends was returning to the shore in a small boat after offering prayers at Waghdeo Temple situated on the other side of the dam.
“The boat became unsteady amid strong winds and drizzle, prompting them to jump into the water. Two of them, namely Mohit Rahangdale and Kunal Bhonde, went missing, while others swam safely to the shore,” a police official said in the evening.
Due to darkness, a search operation had to be postponed to Thursday morning, officials added. PTI COR NSK
