Sultanpur (UP), Jun 2 (PTI) A 60-year-old man died after a wall collapsed on him while he was sleeping under a thatched structure in a village here, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place on Monday night in Selhupura village under the Akhandnagar police station area.
According to police, Phoolchand Yadav was sleeping in a thatched shed at his house when the wall collapsed. The exact time and cause of the collapse are yet to be ascertained.
The incident came to light on Tuesday morning when his wife, Kanti, went to wake him up and found him buried under the debris of the collapsed wall.
Hearing her cries, family members and villagers rushed to the spot and pulled Yadav out of the rubble. However, he had died by then.

Vinay Gautam said the body has been sent for post-mortem examination after completion of legal formalities.
Police are awaiting the post-mortem report and further legal action is being taken, he added. PTI COR KIS APL APL
