On Day 2 of Dhirubhai Ambani International School’s annual day celebrations, Nita Ambani once again reminded us that true style isn’t about spectacle, but about intention. As the founder and Chairperson of DAIS, her presence naturally commands attention, but it’s her ability to dress for the moment, the audience and the emotion of the occasion that truly stands out. Over two days of celebrations, Nita delivered not just elegant looks, but a nuanced sartorial narrative rooted in heritage, leadership and quiet authority.
Ivory As The New Power Neutral
For Day 2, Nita Ambani chose an ivory silk saree edged with a warm orange border. The palette felt both ceremonial and refreshingly restrained. The choice of ivory spoke to softness and dignity, while the vibrant border added a subtle
festive punctuation, perfectly suited for a school celebration that balances formality with joy.

Her blouse echoed the saree’s border, creating a cohesive visual flow rather than competing for attention. The real triumph, however, lay in her jewellery choices. An antique gold long necklace strung with pearls anchored the look in tradition, lending it gravitas without excess. Complemented by classic gold earrings and a single kada, the ensemble exemplified balance. It was opulent yet measured, statement-making yet respectful of the setting.
Nita’s glam leaned into timeless Indian aesthetics. Her hair was swept into a low bun, wrapped with fresh white gajra – a detail that instantly elevated the look from elegant to ceremonial. The traditional red bindi added a powerful finishing touch, reinforcing the cultural resonance of the ensemble. Her makeup stayed refined: softly sculpted brows, kohl-rimmed eyes with a delicate wing, flushed cheeks, luminous skin and a confident red lip.
If Day 2 was about restraint, Day 1 was about heritage drama done right. Nita Ambani appeared in a rich red saree, elevated by a striking multi-layered Basra pearl necklace – a choice that felt deeply symbolic. Red, after all, is not just a colour but a cultural code, and paired with heirloom pearls, it spoke of legacy, continuity and pride.
