Aneet Padda, who shot to fame with the release of Saiyaara (2025), will next be seen in the courtroom drama ‘Hunkkaar – The Roar’, which will premiere soon on JioHotstar. It also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub and Arjun Mathur. The makers shared the actors’ first look posters, leaving fans intrigued about the crime thriller, directed by Nitya Mehra and Karan Kapadia. Meanwhile, the teaser will be unveiled tomorrow, on September 1. As per reports, Aneet had already shot for this project before landing her career-defining role in ‘Saiyaara.’
Aneet Padda’s First Look From Hunkkaar- The Roar Unveiled
On Monday, the makers unveiled the character posters of Aneet Padda, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub and Arjun Mathur. Aneet looks intense in the poster, and is seen in a simple look with
her hair tied back. Meanwhile, Fatima is seen in a police officer’s uniform. Check out the first look posters below!
The character posters for Hunkkaar also reveal that the series has received an A rating, making it unsuitable for audiences below 18. Raghubir Yadav is reportedly set to play the antagonist in the gritty drama.
The series also features Ram Kapoor, Zoya Hussain, Charu Shankar, Veen Harsh and Rajesh Sharma in supporting roles. Heeraz Marfatia is reportedly among the writers attached to the project.
About Hunkkaar- The Roar
According to reports, Aneet will portray a victim who takes a courageous stand against a powerful godman accused of misconduct. The film reportedly unfolds as an intense courtroom drama centred on her fight for justice, while exploring themes of power imbalance, courage and women seeking accountability.
Hunkkaar is jointly directed by Nitya Mehra and Karan Kapadia and is backed by Birla Studios and Applause Entertainment, in association with Priyanka Chopra’s production house Purple Pebble Pictures, and Mangata Films.
Nitya Mehra, who has helmed Baar Baar Dekho (2016), has also directed episodes of Made in Heaven. Kapadia, meanwhile, has worked as an assistant director on films including Luck By Chance (2009), Raavan (2010) and Talaash (2012).
This marks Aneet’s second collaboration with Nitya Mehra, following Amazon Prime Video series ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry.’
Aneet Padda’s Projects
Apart from Hunkkaar, Aneet Padda has several other exciting projects lined up. She will next be seen in Shakti Shalini and an untitled film directed by Mohit Suri, which will mark her reunion with Saiyaara co-star Ahaan Panday.
