Ranveer Singh Reveals His Romance With Deepika Padukone ‘Blossomed’ In Udaipur: ‘Very Lucky For Love Stories’

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are undeniably one of Bollywood’s most loved couples. Their love story began during the shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela’ in 2012.

Ranveer is currently in Udaipur, where he performed at Netra Mantena and Vamsi Gadiraju’s sangeet ceremony. A recent video shows the actor calling Udaipur a ‘lucky charm’ for love stories, and revealing that his romance with Deepika also began here, while they were shooting for Ram Leela.

Ranveer Singh Opens Up On His Love Story With Deepika Padukone

A video from the sangeet ceremony that is going viral on social media shows Ranveer Singh on stage, addressing the couple and the guests. He called Udaipur a ‘special place’ and went on to reveal how his own love story with Deepika Padukone blossomed here. “I want to tell you, Udaipur is like a lucky charm for love stories. I shot a movie here, called Ram-Leela. It was back in the day, and I was starring opposite your Bhabhi. And it was on the long Udaipur schedule of Ram Leela that our love story blossomed. Since then it has been 13 years of togetherness, seven years of marriage, and one beautiful baby girl. So you see? Udaipur is very, very lucky for love stories,” he said. Check out the video below!

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone tied the knot on 14 November 2018 at Lake Como in Italy. They welcomed their first child, daughter Dua Padukone Singh, in September last year.

Ram Leela Completes 12 Years

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela’ was released in theatres on November 15, 2013. The film recently completed 12 years, and screenwriters Siddharth-Garima shared several unseen behind-the-scenes photos from the sets of the film. Fans were delighted to see some lovely candid pictures of Deepika and Ranveer, along with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and other team members.

Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela starred Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles, with Priyanka Chopra’s special appearance in the song ‘Ram Chahe Leela’. The cast also included Supriya Pathak, Richa Chadha, Sharad Kelkar, Gulshan Devaiah, Barkha Bisht, and Abhimanyu Singh.
