The Indian men’s cricket team will face the West Indies in a two-match Test series next month. The BCCI’s senior men’s selection committee’s chairman, Ajit Agarkar, announced India’s 15-member squad for
the home series on Thursday, September 25, and in the team picked for the two-match series against the Roston Chase-led side, there was no place for Karun Nair. Nair played four Tests for India in England but was not able to impress with his performance.
Along with Nair, all-rounder Shardul Thakur, batter Abhimanyu Easwaran and pacers Arshdeep Singh, Akash Deep and Anshul Kamboj have also been left out, whereas Rishabh Pant was not available due to selection.
While Akash Deep played three Tests in England, Thakur featured in a couple of matches, and Easwaran and Arshdeep warmed the bench in all five fixtures.
