Gaurav Khanna is enjoying a major life moment after winning Bigg Boss 19. In an interview with India Forums, the actor recently reacted to the grand finale of Salman Khan-hosted show, topping the TRP charts, crossing the ratings of his former popular daily soap, Anupamaa.
While the achievement filled him with pride, it also brought back memories of the show and character that made him a household name.
Bigg Boss 19 Finale Creates TRP History
Reacting to the numbers, Gaurav shared that he felt genuinely happy when he read about the finale’s massive reach. He mentioned that the Bigg Boss 19 finale “peeche chhod gaya baaki saare shows”, making it a truly special moment for him. The happiness doubled when he realised that the show it overtook was Anupamaa,
his own former project, which he said gave him immense support at a crucial phase of his career.
Anuj Kapadia Changed Everything
Gaurav did not shy away from crediting his success to Anuj Kapadia, the character that won him widespread love. According to him, “aaj main jahan hoon, woh Anuj Kapadia ki wajah se hoon”, as it was through Anupamaa that audiences first connected deeply with him. He acknowledged that the affection he received for the role became the base for all his future achievements.

Reflecting on his journey post-Anupamaa, Gaurav spoke about how one success led to another. From winning Celebrity MasterChef to now lifting the Bigg Boss 19 trophy, the actor said this phase has been both rewarding and humbling. He hinted that while Bigg Boss has ended, “Bigg Boss ka pyaar zindagi bhar saath rahega”.
