Chennai Super Kings, who have slumped to three defeats in as many outings in the ongoing season of the IPL, take on Delhi Capitals, who are yet to drop a point this year, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Saturday in an attempt to overturn their fortunes.
CSK all-rounder Shivam Dube recalled the rich legacy of the club and vowed that the five-time champions will bounce back in strong fashion after the initial struggles.
“Yeah, we lost 3 matches, but in the past we have won more than 3 matches in a row,” the southpaw said.
“So you will see the bounce back,” he reiterated to the Chennai fans, who look for a turn of events against the Capital City side who are yet to be bested in the nascent edition of the competition.
CSK have endured a poor run of
games at the start of the latest edition of the money-rich T20 franchise league, suffering a home defeat to Punjab Kings and away losses to Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Chennai have been without the services of the talismanic MS Dhoni, due to a leg injury, as the most decorated team in the history of the format look to weather an apparent transition.
Chennai are scheduled to face DC before hosting Kolkata Knight Riders on the 14th, then travelling to the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on the 18th of the month, and finally flying to Wankhede to play Mumbai Indians on the 23rd of April.
