Chelsea have placed their future in the hands of a coach who wants Stamford Bridge loud, relentless and feared again.
Newly appointed head coach Liam Rosenior made his intentions crystal clear after taking charge at Chelsea, promising high-tempo, aggressive, front-foot football and a return to the intimidating atmosphere that once defined the club.

“I want the fans to be off their seat in the first ten minutes,” Rosenior said. “Wave after wave. When you turned up at Stamford Bridge before, you knew it was going to be a really difficult day. I want to create that feeling again.”
The 41-year-old arrives from Strasbourg with a clear footballing identity built around intensity, youth
and bravery. Rosenior stressed that while Chelsea’s squad may be “a little bit older and a little bit wiser” than the one he coached in France, the core principles remain unchanged.
“Energy, application, fitness, intensity — those are non-negotiable,” he said. “I want us to play brave, fearless football.”
Rosenior also offered insight into his management style, describing himself as demanding but deeply invested in those around him.
“I think I’m demanding. I think I’m honest. Caring, I care about my team, I care about my players, I care about my staff. I’m meticulous and organised, and I have a clear idea of the way I want the game to be played,” he exclaimed.
But above all, Rosenior made it clear that Chelsea’s history demands more than good intentions.
Winning is the focus.

“I want to be remembered as a winning coach, consistently winning.”
“Joining Chelsea FC is a proud moment, but that’s not the target. This is a club built on winning, and that’s why I’m here. With these players, this staff, and this culture, I’m confident we can win again,” he added.
“There is a real hunger to win, and I will give everything, every single day, to help this team compete and win at the very highest level to make everyone connected and proud to be a part of Chelsea Football Club.”
