Amid massive cancellations and delays, IndiGo is facing massive backlash from passengers over its refund policies. Calling out the airlines for its irresponsible and incompetent behaviour, several people
took to social media and demanded a refund.
Attaching screenshots of ticket details, an IndiGo user took to X and wrote, “Dear IndiGo, can you refund my flight, your existing mechanisms online don’t work, can’t get through customer care. We are in ridiculous territory now for ‘delay, so issue a refund’. Details in the screenshots. Also, congratulations on being rewarded for being so incompetent.”

One of the users slammed the airlines and stated good to see your true colours. He demanded that the airlines should immediately refund all those left stranded.
“I’m not talking about the ‘operational issues’ but how you dealt with it, with dishonesty, lies and absolute unprofessional behaviour at all levels. Have spent all day waiting – first at the airport, then at your service desk.”
“And now for an hour on your online chat and support phone line, when all you have to do is to refund folks who were stranded… why is that so hard? You abandoned your loyal customers today, I will now only fly Indigo if it’s the last choice. Thanks for the wake-up call,” he added.

Another social media user pointed towards IndiGo’s cancellation policy and termed the entire process unethical, stating that the biggest problem of the ongoing fiasco is that when you go for a cancellation, they don’t give you a 100% refund even if the flight is for the very next day.
“They inform you about the cancellation only when you reach the airport, which is completely unethical. Unfortunately, the government isn’t saying anything either perhaps because they were the ones who received ₹100 crores from the airline through electoral bonds.”

IndiGo Flight Cancellations
Thousands of passengers were left stranded after IndiGo cancelled hundreds of its flights across India this week after failing to make sufficient changes to its roster planning to accommodate new government norms.
The flight operations hit the airports in Delhi, Jaipur, Bhopal, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and other cities, leaving thousands of passengers stranded.
