A new video from Kerala is drawing attention after a man was seen stepping out of his house wrapped in an iron net. The act is being seen as a response to the recent death of a Kerala man after a video accusing
him of misconduct on a bus spread online. The clip has triggered debate, with many calling it satire, while others see it as a sign of fear and anger over public shaming on social media.
The video shows the man inside his home, standing near a doorway, covered from head to toe in a wire-like iron net. The iron net surrounds his body like a cage, making movement difficult and drawing immediate attention to the unusual sight.
As the clip continues, the man slowly walks out of his house, still wrapped in the net. He steps forward carefully, showing how tightly the iron structure fits around him.
The Clip Draws Strong Reactions Online
The video was shared on January 21 and has crossed over one lakh views so far.

Similar Videos Appeared Earlier
Before the iron net video surfaced, two other clips had gone viral in the days after the incident. These videos showed men travelling on buses while covering themselves with cardboard boxes to avoid allegations of inappropriate behaviour.
In one clip, a bus conductor is seen wearing a cardboard sheet over his upper body while issuing tickets. Written on the cardboard is a message asking for a “men’s commission.” The video was reportedly recorded by a woman passenger and spread quickly online.

Background Of The Incident
The videos appeared after the death of Deepak, a resident of Govindapuram in Kerala. He worked as a sales manager with a private firm. Police reportedly said Deepak was found dead on January 18, a day after an 18-second video accusing him of sexual misconduct during a bus journey went viral.
The video was uploaded on January 16 and showed a woman claiming that Deepak behaved inappropriately while travelling to Payyannur in Kannur district. The clip spread quickly, leading to public judgement and online discussions. Police sources said Deepak denied the allegations and was planning to take legal action, calling the claims false and defamatory.
After his death, the cardboard-box videos and the iron net clip are being viewed by some as a protest and social commentary. Others, however, have criticised them, saying they ignore deeper issues and raise questions about how social media reacts to such cases.
