Legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89 on Tuesday, November 11, at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, his team confirmed.
The veteran star had been admitted to the hospital on November 10 for medical treatment, following a brief stay the previous week for routine check-ups. During his final days, he was visited by his wife Hema Malini, son Sunny Deol, and other family members. Actors Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan also stopped by the hospital to pay their respects and check on the beloved actor.
Fondly known as the “He-Man of Bollywood,” Dharmendra was revered for his powerful performances and remarkable versatility across genres. His filmography includes timeless classics such as Sholay, Phool Aur Patthar, Chupke Chupke,
and Satyakam, which cemented his place among Indian cinema’s greatest icons.

Over a career spanning more than six decades, Dharmendra has delivered over 300 films, carving an unmatched space in Indian cinema. From Phool Aur Patthar and Sholay to Chupke Chupke and Satyakam, he has redefined versatility, seamlessly moving between action, romance, and comedy.
