Begusarai (Bihar), Jul 27 (PTI) Five girls escaped from a government-run shelter home in Bihar’s Begusarai district on Monday, police said.
All the minors who were staying in the shelter home located in the Ratanpur locality escaped in the wee hours.
It is suspected that the girls escaped by cutting a window grille.
However, the police have not officially confirmed this and said all angles of the incident are being investigated.
According to a statement issued by the district police, “Immediately after receiving information that five minor girls escaped from the Ratanpur shelter home, police reached the spot. They inspected the premises and spoke to officials posted there. Efforts are underway to bring them back safely”.
A special team has been constituted
to analyse CCTV footage of the shelter home and the surrounding areas. PTI COR PKD NN
