The gazette notification for the BMC Ward No. 214 (D Ward) was issued on December 15, 2025 (Monday), the last date of scrutiny of nominations was December 31, 2025 (Wednesday) and the last date of withdrawal of nominations was January 2, 2026 (Friday). This ward voted on Thursday, January 15, 2026 and the counting of votes is happening on Friday, January 16, 2026.

The extent of the ward as published in the Maharashtra Government Gazette is as follows: A Line starting from the junction of Vatsalabai Desai Chowk and Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Marg (Tardeo Road) and running southwards along the westside of Pandit Mohan Malviya Marg upto its Junction with Javji Dadaji Marg; thence southwards along the Westside of Javji Dadaji Marg upto its Junction with Krantiveer Vasantrao Naik Marg at Ramesh Patil Chowk; thence southwards along the westside of Krantiveer Vasanrao Naik Marg upto its Junction with August Kranti Marg (Gowalia Tank Road); thence westwards along the northside of August Kranti Marg upto its Junction with Lady Laxmibai Jagmohandas Marg (Nepean Sea Road) at Mukesh Chowk; thence southwards along the northside and westside of Lady Laxmibai Jagmohandas Marg (Nepean Sea Road) upto its Junction with Settlewad Lane; Thence westwards along the north side of Setalwad Lane up to the western wall of Jahagir Tower; thence northwards along the east side of the said fencing wall along with Shivajinagar slum up to the northern fencing wall of Ocean View Building; thence southwards along the said fencing wall towards the east up to the fencing wall of Vijay Apartment; thence eastwards along the northwards up to the western fencing wall of Tata Garden Park i.e. up to Coastal Road; thence northwards along the north side taking a turn towards the west and southwards up to the underpass of Coastal Road; thence crossing the said road northwards along Coastal Road bypassing Haji Ali Dargah up to Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Marg ………. i.e. up to the point of departure. PREVIOUS BMC ELECTION RESULT
The last Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections were held on February 21, 2017, in which Shiv Sena was the single largest party with 84 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party won 82 seats. Indian National Congress secured 31 seats, Nationalist Congress Party won nine, and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena won seven seats. Other parties included Samajwadi Party, which won six seats; the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen won two seats and the Akhil Bhartiya Sena won a single seat. Five Independent candidates also won seats in the election.
