'I'm Doing My First Dharma Movie': Vikrant Massey Confirms Dostana 2 With Lakshya

Bollywood star Vikrant Massey is all set to step into a new avatar with the film ‘Dostana 2’. He recently confirmed his role in the film which marks his first collaboration with Dharma Productions. Dostana 2 was

initially set to star Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor, and newcomer Lakshya, who was set to make his debut with the project. However, the original cast was completely reshuffled. The film will now star Vikrant Massey and Lakshya. In a conversation with Times Now, Vikrant confirmed his role, and revealed that the film will showcase him in a completely new avatar.

Vikrant Massey’s Role In Dostana 2

While speaking with Times Now about his upcoming project, Vikrant Massey said, “You will see me doing that soon. I think this news is already out. I don’t know why I’m not talking. I’m doing Dostana 2. I’m doing my first Dharma movie.” He also shared that the film will present in in a new avatar. “Usme you will see me wearing good designer clothes. Karan (Johar) sir will make sure that I have wear good clothes and I wear those fancy sunglasses. Shooting somewhere in Europe,” he said.

Vikrant Massey’s Co-Star In Dostana 2

When asked about the female lead in the film, Vikrant said, “I think wo main nahi bolunga. Wo Karan sir hi bolenge toh behtar hai. Uski bhi toh badi announcement hai.” (I won’t reveal that, Karan sir will say as it is a big announcement).” He did, however, confirm his male co-star Lakshya’s role in the film. “Lakshya is a part of the movie. But let the girl be a surprise,” he said. Laskhya was recently seen in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut series ‘The Ba***ds Of Bollywood’.

In May, Pinkvilla reported that Dostana 2 makers will introduce a debutant as the female lead in the film. A source told the portal, “Dostana 2 has been in development at Dharma for a while, and the makers have cracked a perfect script that can carry the franchise forward in a progressive manner. Dostana 2 will feature Vikrant Massey with Lakshya, and will mark the launch pad of a debutant as the female lead. The makers are aiming to take the film on floors in January 2026, and release in the end of next year.”

Earlier, Kartik Aaryan was to star alongside Janhvi Kapoor in the film. However, in 2021, it was reported that Kartik was no longer a part of the movie. Later, Dharma Productions had issued an official statement, saying that “we will be recasting Dostana 2.”
