Giannis Is A Buck For Life! 'Greek Freak' Shuts Down Trade Talks, Vows Loyalty To Milwaukee

Giannis Antetokounmpo has drawn a firm line under the endless trade speculation surrounding his future, insisting there is no scenario in which he asks out of Milwaukee.

Speaking to The Athletic’s Sam Amick,

the Bucks superstar delivered his clearest message yet amid league-wide rumours ahead of the February trade deadline.

“You know, for me, right now, today, I am committed — not 100 percent, but 1 million percent to my teammates, to my craft, to this team, and to this city. One million percent.”

“I’m locked in,” Antetokounmpo said. “I am locked into my craft. I’m locked in with the team. I am locked into the situation that I have in front of me… There will never be a scenario on this planet that I will ever quit on my team.”

The two-time NBA MVP went even further, stressing that requesting a trade is simply not in his DNA.

“There will never be a moment where I will come out and say, ‘I want a trade,’” he said. “That’s not in my nature.”

Despite Milwaukee’s struggles this season — the Bucks sit 11th in the East at 16-21 — Antetokounmpo sounded unwavering in his commitment to the franchise and the city.

“Today, I am committed — not 100 per cent, but one million per cent — to my teammates, to my craft, to this team and to this city,” he said. “I don’t look right. I don’t look left.”

The 31-year-old, who can opt out of his contract in 2027, acknowledged that plans can change in sports. But for now, his intention is clear: he wants to be a Buck for life.

Even amid injuries and turbulence, Antetokounmpo’s play has remained elite. He’s averaging 29.5 points, 10 rebounds and 5.5 assists, reinforcing the sense around the league that whatever Milwaukee’s problems may be, Giannis’ commitment isn’t one of them.
