Kuldeep Yadav bowled four overs for Delhi Capitals in their last league match of IPL 2026 on Sunday (May 24) and picked up 3 wickets for 29 runs in four overs against Kolkata Knight Riders. The spinner from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh opened his wicket account by dismissing Cameron Green on the fourth ball of the 10th over of the KKR innings and then picked up Ajinkya Rahane’s and Rinku Singh’s wickets on ball-to-ball balls.

While KKR skipper Rahane was caught by David Miller after scoring 63 runs from 39 balls, Tristan Stubbs completed Rinku’s catch on the third ball of the 14th over. Rinku, who is Rahane’s deputy in the IPL for KKR, failed to open his account even and got out for a golden duck.
The duck by Rinku against Delhi on Sunday was his first-ever duck in the IPL. Since making his IPL debut for KKR on April 8, 2018, against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Kolkata, Rinku had played 61 innings in 72 matches and never got out without scoring before Kuldeep broke his streak on Sunday.
Kuldeep is the first and only bowler in IPL history to dismiss Rinku for a duck.
KKR had high hopes from Rinku in the last league match of IPL 2026, but he failed to deliver, and his side suffered a shocking collapse in front of home fans and went on to lose the fixture by 40 runs.
Had KKR managed to get the better of Delhi Capitals for the second time in IPL 2026, they would have finished 6th in the points table with 15 points, but they failed to achieve the objective.
For his super show with the ball in the only dead rubber of IPL 2026, Kuldeep bagged the Player Of The Match award.
Apart from Kuldeep, South African pacer Lungi Ngidi also picked up three wickets for DC, and a couple of KKR batters were sent back to the pavilion by Australian speedster Mitchell Starc.
Starc, who missed the first half of IPL 2026 due to injury, played a total of six matches for Delhi Capitals this year and dismissed 11 batters. He finished the season as DC’s third highest wicket-taker.
