Kareena Kapoor Khan Set To Reunite With Salman Khan For Raj & DK’s Superhero Film?

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is teaming up with the talented director duo Raj & DK, known for acclaimed projects such as The Family Man and Farzi. They are set to work together on a superhero film, and as per reports, Kareena Kapoor Khan is in advanced talks to play the female lead in the film. While nothing is official yet, Variety India reports that Kareena has expressed strong interest and verbally committed to the role.

According to Variety India, Salman Khan himself is said to have personally reached out to her, helping to accelerate the discussions. Despite earlier rumours about Samantha Ruth Prabhu being the frontrunner, Kareena is now the likely choice for the lead. While Bebo hasn’t formally signed the project yet, she has responded

enthusiastically to her role and verbally committed interest.

If this collaboration materializes, it will be the fifth time Salman and Kareena share screen space, and their first since ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ in 2015. Their previous films, including ‘Kyon Ki…,’ ‘Main Aur Mrs Khanna’, and ‘Bodyguard’, were all major hits. Fans have long awaited a reunion between the two stars, and if it goes ahead, it would definitely be a highly anticipated moment for their fans!

What We Know About The Project So Far

Produced by Atul Agnihotri and Mythri Movie Makers, the film will feature Salman as an aging superhero who is drawn back into action by unforeseen circumstances, eventually finding himself entangled in a much larger conflict.

This will also mark Raj and DK’s return to theatrical films, following their 2017 release A Gentleman, after a successful run in the streaming world with The Family Man, Farzi, Citadel: Honey Bunny, and Guns And Gulaabs.

Salman is expected to begin shooting the film around October-November 2026, after completing his work on Vamshi Paidipally’s film. The movie is scheduled for release during Eid 2027.
