After the release of the official trailer of Delhi Crime Season 3, Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao enthusiastically expressed his excitement. The actor reshared the post of Netflix India related to the upcoming season on his Instagram story, praising the trailer as ‘mind-blowing.’
Along with the trailer, Netflix announced the return of the award-winning series on November 13. Season 3 brings “the most thrilling case yet” with Shefali Shah as DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, reprising her role and Huma Qureshi starring as her strong rival.

A Chilling Case of Human Trafficking The new trailer shows a breathtaking pursuit as Vartika and her crew uncover a huge human trafficking network that spans the entire country of India. The investigation of an abandoned
baby is what actually sets the ball rolling.
In the official description of the show, it reads, “A chase across the country is sparked by the finding of an abandoned baby, which eventually leads to Vartika meeting Meena and Badi Didi (Qureshi) – a merciless overlord who, among other things, exploits young girls to create the foundation of her empire.”
The serial is the directorial work of Tanuj Chopra and is supported by Golden Karavan and SK Global Entertainment. In addition to Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Jaya Bhattacharya, and Anuraag Arora, the show has got newcomers like Sayani Gupta, Mita Vasisht, Kelly Dorji, and Anshumaan Pushkar to join the ensemble.
Cast Speaks About Powerful Themes
Once again, as the ‘Madam Sir’, most loved by people, Shefali Shah said that she felt it was her own when she reprised the role of DCP Vartika. According to Times Now Entertainment, she said, “Vartika is combating a foe that is not only beyond geographical boundaries but also lurks in the unlit corners of the society we see every day. Human trafficking is not the work of a few; it is the dark side of a world that chooses to turn away. Vartika continues to fight despite that, even if it only entails rescuing one life.”
Meena’s character in the movie was described by Huma Qureshi as a very complex one. “Trauma is what made Meena, but she nevertheless has a lot of power in her hands. She is at the same time a victim and perpetrator. Delhi Crime does not indulge in sensationalising, it directly addresses the uncomfortable truths that are right there in front of us,” she remarked.

Season 1 of Delhi Crime, which came out in 2019, was awarded the International Emmy Award for Best Drama Series in 2020. Its second season was released in August 2022 and gained worldwide acclaim for the authentic portrayal of the police and the moral dilemmas.
Now, with the third season scheduled for release in November, fans are looking forward to a new, intense chapter in the successful series.
