Sonam Kapoor Ahuja has penned a touching birthday message for her brother-in-law, filmmaker Karan Boolani. The occasion was made even more special as she shared an unseen glimpse of her son, Vayu, alongside his beloved uncle.

Karan Boolani and Rhea Kapoor’s Love Story
Karan Boolani has been a part of the Kapoor
family for a long time, thanks to his enduring relationship with Rhea Kapoor, Sonam’s younger sister. Their love story began more than a decade ago on the sets of the film Aisha (2010), which Rhea produced and Sonam starred in. After being together for nearly 13 years in a private relationship, the couple tied the knot on August 15, 2021, in an intimate ceremony at Anil Kapoor’s residence in Juhu. The wedding was followed by a cosy family reception, celebrating their love in the presence of close friends and relatives.
Karan Boolani’s Journey in Cinema and Advertising
Professionally, Karan Boolani has carved a significant niche for himself in the Indian entertainment industry. He has directed and worked on more than 500 television commercials, showcasing his versatile storytelling style across different brands.
In cinema, he has been associated with several acclaimed projects. He assisted on Aisha, produced by Rhea Kapoor and also worked on Wake Up Sid, produced under Karan Johar’s banner. His collaboration with Anil Kapoor came through the Indian adaptation of the international thriller series 24, where he served as one of the directors.

Boolani first drew attention as a filmmaker with his feature-length documentary That Healing Feeling, which earned him recognition in the documentary film circuit.
