Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s love story continues to melt hearts, with a deeply personal moment now revealed in the singer’s Eras Tour docuseries, Taylor Swift: The End of an Era. In the sixth episode titled Remember This Moment, which dropped on Tuesday, December 23, Swift shared a romantic letter written by her now-fiancé ahead of her final three Eras Tour shows in Vancouver in December 2024.
In the episode, Swift, 36, is seen backstage with her mother, Andrea Swift, as she reads the note sent by the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, also 36. Sitting beside a large bouquet of white roses, Taylor smiles as she reads aloud Kelce’s emotional words, in which he refers to her as “the love of my life.”
“So many unbelievable memories on this tour but
my favorite one is seeing you in concert for the first time and being mesmerised and swept off my feet by a woman who doesn’t even know me,” Taylor reads from the letter, visibly touched by the sentiment.
Kelce goes on to thank Swift for creating what he calls a “legendary tour,” while also referencing the night she performed in Kansas City. “Selfishly I say thank you for creating this legendary tour and to Robert [Allen] for making you stop through Kansas City, Missouri, that night too in KC was the beginning of me meeting the love of my life,” she continues.
Taylor appears to finish reading the remainder of the letter silently, choosing not to say those words out loud. Overwhelmed by emotion, she reacts sweetly, saying, “Aww my God!” before turning to her mom and adding, “So much for no emotions on the last three shows.”
The reveal comes just days after Swift herself referred to Kelce as the love of her life during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on December 10. Reflecting on the major milestones in her life, including her engagement, the singer spoke candidly about how uncertain those moments once felt.
“Getting engaged to the love of my life, getting all my music back. Those were two things that just might never have happened. They could have just never happened. It wasn’t like, ‘Oh, it’s just a matter of time.’ ” Swift told host Stephen Colbert.
She added, “Both of those things could have just never arrived in my life, and I’m so grateful for both of those things happening.”
Kelce first attended Swift’s Eras Tour in July 2023 when she performed at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri. The NFL star later revealed on his New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, that he had tried—and failed—to meet Swift backstage.
He also shared that he had made a personalised friendship bracelet for her with his phone number on it and admitted he was “a little butthurt” that he didn’t get the chance to hand it to her personally. That missed meeting, however, would soon turn into one of pop culture’s most talked-about romances.
