Hyderabad, Jun 4 (PTI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday said the Makthal-Narayanapet-Kodangal Lift Irrigation scheme (MNKLIS) would provide irrigation facilities to one lakh acres of agricultural land.
Reddy, who reached Makthal in the district from Bengaluru, inspected the MNKLIS works in Narayanpet district.
He viewed a photo exhibition showcasing the project’s status and instructed the officials to expedite work.
Reddy visited the site of ‘Package-1’ of MNKLIS at Katrevupalli village in Makthal mandal and reviewed the progress of pumphouse works, an official release said.
State ministers N Uttam Kumar Reddy, C Damodar Rajanarasimha, Jupally Krishna Rao, former Karnataka minister N S Boseraju were present on the occasion.

Chief Minister arrived at Makthal from Bengaluru where he attended the swearing-in ceremony of D K Shivakumar as Karnataka Chief Minister on June 4.
Revanth Reddy is visiting Mahabubnagar, Narayanpet and other districts on June 4 and 5 to review the progress of Palamuru-Ranga Reddy and other irrigation projects.
He is scheduled to inspect the works of Palamuru-Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS), Narlapur reservoir and others on June 5.
The CM would conduct an aerial survey of PRLIS canal works, Yedula reservoir and pumphouse works.
In the afternoon, he would inspect the works of Karivena and Uddandapur reservoirs of PRLIS, among others.
He will address a public meeting at Uddandapur on June 5 evening before reaching Hyderabad. PTI SJR SJR ROH
