Ajay Devgn’s De De Pyaar De 2 Makes Rs 57 Crore After Week 1 At Box Office

Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, Rakul Preet Singh and Gautami Kapoor returned to the big screen with De De Pyaar De 2, which released in theatres on Friday, November 14. The first part, which arrived in 2019,

enjoyed an impressive box office journey and the sequel appears to be following a similar path with steady collections and positive audience reception.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, De De Pyaar De 2 collected approximately Rs 3.50 crore in India net on its seventh day. With this, the film’s first-week total has reached around Rs 51.19 crore in India, showcasing a solid performance throughout the week.

The production team behind the film has expressed their happiness, sharing a celebratory post featuring Ajay Devgn’s still from the movie. They revealed that the film has earned Rs 57.78 crore at the India Box Office so far and captioned their update with, “Housefull vibes only! #DeDePyaarDe2 smashing the box office.”

Plot Overview: A New Chapter in Ashish and Ayesha’s Journey

De De Pyaar De 2 picks up right where the first instalment concluded, continuing the story of Ashish and Ayesha. Ashish Mehra (played by Ajay Devgn), a 52-year-old NRI living in London, once again finds himself navigating the complexities of an age-gap romance. The challenges are different this time. Instead of winning over his own family, Ashish now needs to gain the approval of his much younger girlfriend Ayesha Khurana’s father, Rajji, portrayed by R. Madhavan.

Rajji, who is nearly the same age as Ashish, is protective, sharp and deeply sceptical about the relationship. His disapproval becomes the primary hurdle standing between the couple and their future together.

Meezaan Jafri Adds a Fresh Layer of Drama

The situation intensifies further when a new character, played by Meezaan Jafri, enters the picture. Younger and more compatible with Ayesha in the eyes of her family, he represents the socially “acceptable” match her parents once encouraged. His presence triggers jealousy, confusion and comedic chaos, adding a refreshing twist to the narrative. The film also features strong supporting performances from Ishita Dutta and Jaaved Jaaferi, both of whom contribute to the film’s comedic rhythm and emotional moments.
