Jana Nayagan box office: Jana Nayagan showed signs of recovery at the box office on its first Saturday after a sharp drop on Friday. The Vijay-starrer, which hit theatres on July 23, recorded a healthy jump in collections on Day 3, helping it cross the Rs 100 crore mark in India gross despite receiving mixed reviews.
According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 28.50 crore on its first Saturday, marking a 34.8% increase over its Day 2 collections. The rebound comes after the film saw a steep fall on its first Friday, when collections slipped by nearly 50% following a solid opening.
Jana Nayagan Day 3 Box Office Collection
The film opened with Rs 42.70 crore on Day 1 before dropping to Rs 21.51 crore on Friday. Saturday’s collections of Rs 28.50 crore,
spread across 12,299 shows, gave the film a much-needed boost.
With this, Jana Nayagan has collected Rs 108.93 crore in India gross, while its domestic net collection now stands at Rs 92.35 crore, as per trade tracker Sacnilk.

But it starts feeling like a trope as it doesn’t necessarily offer anything particularly new or surprising.”
It added, “Technically, Jana Nayagan may have moments of grandeur but the visual scale cannot compensate for weak writing. A political drama requires powerful ideas, strong characters and engaging conflicts. This one has a message in bold but it does not have the cinematic strength to deliver that message effectively.
