An Indie dog has left everyone stunned after making a record climb by soaring over an 18-foot wall during a Border Security Force (BSF) event. A video of the dog has also gone viral online, leaving the internet
amazed.
A viral video shared by ANI shows a BSF K9 dog standing with its handler near a very high wall. Before the jump, the handler pats the dog, giving it some encouragement. The dog then runs quickly and leaps over the 18-foot wall with ease, impressing everyone at the event and later online.
For a long time, India’s security forces mostly used foreign dog breeds like German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois in their K9 teams. Recently, there has been a push to train and use local Indian breeds, showing that they can do tough security jobs just as well.

This is not the first time Indie dogs have shown what they are capable of. In February last year, at the All India Police Duty Meet in Lucknow, a Mudhol Hound from the BSF made history by winning a top police dog competition.
The dog, identified as Riyaa, defeated many international breed dogs, securing a top position. With Riyaa’s victory, the BSF Dog Squad Team was declared the overall champion, securing two trophies and a gold medal in the tracker category.
Speaking to ANI, a BSF official described the moment as groundbreaking for indigenous breeds. “With the win, history was created as it was for the first time that an Indian breed was pitched in a competition and it secured the first position,” the official said.
The Mudhol Hound, a breed that comes from Karnataka, is known for being fast, strong, and excellent at hunting.
Riyaa’s victory shows the importance of training and promoting local dog breeds.
