Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche took a rib at Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, who revealed his weigh-in rule for players ahead of their Premier League encounter at Nottingham on the 27th of December.
Guardiola had revealed that he would monitor the weight of the players before and after Christmas, with a spot in the lineup for the PL encounter against Forest on the line.
“Every player made a weight on Friday,” Guardiola said. “They come back on the 25th, and I will be there controlling how many kilos come up.”
“They can eat, but I want to control them,” he added. “Imagine a player arrives with three kilos more. He will stay in Manchester. He will not travel to Nottingham Forest.”

Dyche joked in trademark fashion quizzing the reported if he thought the Spaniard was weighing himself in too remarking the hypocrisy in the situation.
“Is he weighing himself in do you think? One rule for one… Come on, Pep,” Dyche said.
“It’s up to the players to use common sense,” the Forest boss continued.
“I don’t mind them having a Christmas dinner, why not! Sometimes the psychology is as important as anything with athletes. Within reason, you want them to enjoy their Christmas Day. I certainly do,” he revealed.
“But I’m not obsessed with the weight and all that stuff,” the former Burley coach added.

Dyche did his best impression of the legendary Brian Clough as he replied to a journos curiosity pertaining to the iconic Englishman’s take on such topics in a light-hearted exchange.
“Get the bends on the knee, get a lager if you wish to, but be prepared,” he said mimicking the man who led Forest to European glory.
