The fourth edition of the SA20 is slated to get underway on Boxing Day, the 26th of December 2025, as the nation gears up for yet another exciting season of swashbuckling cricket set against the backdrop of the picturesque nation. The festive window is set to add to the excitement around the nascent event, as the six teams will compete against each other for the coveted prize.
Each side will play the other teams twice in the group stage with the top-four at the end of the league phase earning their berth in the playoffs. The top-two sides will play Qualifier 1 for a berth in the final, while the third-placed and the fourth-placed sides will square up in the Eliminator.
The loser of the first qualifier and the winner of the eliminator will face
off in Qualifier 2 with a slot in the final up for grabs, where they will face the winner of Q1 for the title.
Defending champions MI Cape Town will declare the tournament open when they take on Durban Super Giants at Newlands in Cape Town in the curtain-raiser fixture.
