Rejection after a date can feel emotional and, for many, painful. Some might cry, others might overthink, but one young woman turned the moment into a power move that has now won the internet. The woman shared
her post-date experience, revealing how she handled a rejection in the most unexpected way possible.
In a Reddit post titled, “Well…”, the woman shared a screenshot of their conversation, where she had casually texted him the day after their date, asking, “How it’s going?” This prompted the man to politely and respectfully reject her over a text. The man wrote, “Hey, thanks again for yesterday – I genuinely enjoyed our time together.” He continued by explaining that although the date was nice, he felt that their personalities did not match.
Man Calls Her A “Great Person”
“After giving it some thought, I feel that our personalities might not be the best match in the long run. You’re a great person, and I wish you all the best in your journey ahead. Take care!” he wrote. While most people would either leave him on read, send a cold reply or ask for explanations, this woman did not.
She Asks For His UPI ID
Instead, she responded with maturity and grace, writing, “Hey, that’s ok.” Right after accepting the rejection, she added a message that earned her the title of “queen”. She wrote with zero hesitation, “I wanted to know your UPI for splitting the bill.” The screenshot of the conversation soon went viral, and people just couldn’t stop praising her move.
The Woman Clarifies That The Man Had Paid The Bill
There’s more to the story. When people started assuming she was the one to pay the bill in full, she clarified that the man had paid it on their date and later asked for his UPI ID so she could return the amount to him. One user asked her, “So my lady here paid the bill in full?” To this, she replied, “No, he paid in full after agreeing we split it.” Another user commented, “Chad move (rarely seen in a woman). Appreciate the step, OP,” while a different user called her “Queen”.
Some pointed out that the man might have used an AI chatbot to send her the message, with one saying, “5-6 line likhne ke liye bhi GPT. God bless that person. Good one OP, def worthy of splitting bill.” Someone else shared, “Conversation skills are really going down the hill.”
