Elon Musk is a man of his word, and this is not being said without reason. Not long ago, the Tesla CEO promised to bring a “wood-fired pizza oven” to his startup venture xAI, which was founded in 2023. The promise was made after one of the company’s employees, an engineer, complained about the bland and unappetizing pizza being served at Bay Area, a metropolitan region in Northern California. He shared his grievance on X, which soon grabbed the attention of the billionaire entrepreneur.
Elon Musk promised to upgrade the office kitchen so that his employees could enjoy fresh and tasty pizzas at work. A week into this incident, the same xAI engineer uploaded another post on his X-handle, but this time with a side note that read, “I love my job.”
The reason was simple. Elon Musk had actually arranged a pizza oven at the office.

In the snap, the employee was seen smiling ear-to-ear, holding a slice of a deep-crust, cheesy pizza on one hand and a plate on the other. Behind him was the oven where a few more pizzas were kept, probably for them to be baked to perfection.

Internet Has Mixed Reactions
An impressed user commented, “At what age did you get your job? Out of college? What did you study? Just curious for my boys, 12 and 9-year-olds. Would love them to love their jobs too.”
“Can I have some?” asked a pizza-lover. “That is awesome. You all deserve it,” lauded an individual. “I love your job too,” admitted one person.
“That pizza looks shameful. Not ‘hardcore’ like Tesla pizza should be. I will invite you again Elon Musk. Come see me across the street from the page mill office for a real 4-day fermented wood-fired pizza,” noted a critic. “That is a propane-fired pizza oven,” pointed out someone else.
